Efficacy and safety of CAR-T cell therapy and bispecific antibodies in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma with renal impairment: A propensity score-matched analysis
Last Updated: Thursday, September 17, 2026
Researchers conducted a retrospective cohort study of 2,716 patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) who received CAR T-cell therapy and 3,376 patients with RRMM who received bispecific antibodies to compare outcomes across kidney function categories. Results showed that in both groups, neither severe nor moderate renal impairment was associated with worse survival or shorter time to next treatment. Impaired kidney function correlated with higher rates of anemia, low platelets, and acute kidney injury.
