Salvage hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with higher leukemia burden in relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia: A ten-year study

Among patients with relapsed/refractory AML who received salvage allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation while in non-remission, those who developed chronic GVHD after transplantation had lower relapse rate—potentially due to enhanced graft-versus-leukemia effects.
