Ph-negative MPNs with pulmonary hypertension associated with poor outcomes

According to abstract data presented during the virtual 2020 European Hematology Association Annual Congress, patients with polycythemia vera who developed pulmonary hypertension demonstrated poorer survival than patients with other types of BCR-ABL–negative MPNs with pulmonary hypertension. Ten-year overall survival in the PV arm was 53% for those with pulmonary hypertension vs 94% for those without (P =.001).
