‘MPN Genomic Calculator’: real‐life use in a young population with essential thrombocythaemia
Last Updated: Friday, September 11, 2020
A recent study analyzing the prognostic accuracy of the MPN Genomic Calculator among 165 patients younger than age 60 with essential thrombocythemia found a high level of concordance between observed 5-year overall survival rates (96.4%) and those that were estimated using the calculator (97.3%). The only investigated clinical outcome showing a significant difference between the observed and calculated values was median event-free survival (25.8 years observed vs. 20 years calculated; P =.002).
