Characterizing frailty in myeloproliferative neoplasms: results from the ORCHID study

According to data from the ongoing ORCHID study, frailty—measured via patient self-reports, electronic medical records review, and physical measurements—is a common feature among patients with MPNs, with 57% of the patients being prefrail and 25% frail. Among the study population, patients with primary myelofibrosis had the greatest association with frailty, and those with essential thrombocythemia had the least association.
