Changes in the incidence and overall survival of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms between 2002 and 2016 in the United States

An analysis of trends in incidence and survival among adults with MPNs demonstrated overall incidence rates of 1.55 (95% CI, 1.52-1.57) for essential thrombocythemia, 1.57 (95% CI, 1.55-1.60) for polycythemia vera, and 0.44 (95% CI, 0.43-0.45) per 100,000 person-years for primary myelofibrosis. Five-year mortality was 19.2%, 19.0%, and 51.0%, respectively.
