Breast cancer surveillance in patients with a personal history of breast cancer: Updates and controversies

A review of current screening guidelines for patients who have a personal history of breast cancer. The review highlights the challenges involved in determining when to initiate or discontinue screening mammography, when to perform screening versus diagnostic mammography, and when to perform offline versus live screening. It also gives updates on emergent supplemental imaging modalities and compliance with screening recommendations for patients with a personal history of breast cancer.
