Last Updated: Monday, June 19, 2023

Among patients with chronic ocular GVHD following allogenic HSCT, aqueous deficient dry eye disease is the most common ocular manifestation (71% of patients), and the risk of the disease progression is greater in eyes with grade 2 conjunctival hyperemia (OR: 2.6; P = 0.01) and severe aqueous deficiency (Schirmer’s value <5 mm [OR: 2.7; P = 0.03]).
