Acute GVHD classification based on the dynamics of GVHD skin involvement from its appearance to the start of systemic treatment

According to the results of a prospective study including 108 patients who underwent allogeneic HSCT and then had skin-only grade 1 GVHD, OS was greater among those with an increase in involved body surface area (BSA) of <5% (left untreated at 1 week) compared with those with a >5% involved BSA (75.1% vs 39.8%, respectively; p = 0.03).
