Association between overall survival and activities of daily living in patients with spinal bone metastases

Data from a retrospective observational study of 265 patients who had experienced a skeletal-related event and received radiotherapy revealed that activities of daily living (ADL), the primary site of metastasis, and treatment strategy were significant predictors of overall survival (P < .05). Positive effects on overall survival were found with high ADL, breast cancer, and chemotherapy.
