Prothrombotic profiles in myelofibrosis: Fibrinogen oxidation and the beneficial effects of ruxolitinib

Last Updated: Thursday, December 4, 2025

A study investigated the role of oxidation-induced structural and functional changes in fibrinogen in patients with myelofibrosis compared with healthy controls. The study also analyzed the effects of ruxolitinib. Results showed that patients with myelofibrosis had marked oxidative stress and redox imbalance, and that ruxolitinib improved redox balance and restored fibrinogen structure and function.
