Secondary polycythemia may be an early clinical manifestation of multiple myeloma: A case report

The association of multiple myeloma and polycythemia has been reported, but the association of multiple myeloma and secondary polycythemia, a clinically rare disease that involves the overproduction of red blood cells, has been infrequently reported in literature. A case study and relevant literature is reviewed to improve clinicians' awareness of such rare comorbidities.
