Physical activity and exercise motivation of multiple myeloma patients: a prospective cross-sectional study
Last Updated: Wednesday, July 24, 2024
Patients with symptomatic multiple myeloma can show numerous comorbidities, affecting their quality of life (QoL). While physical activity may improve QoL, it is not a standardized intervention of comprehensive cancer centers. Researchers generated an exercise questionnaire to interview patients with MM, asking about past and current activity, knowledge on the effects of exercise, exercise motivation, and willingness to participate in physical activity interventions. Results suggested that the activity of patients with MM might not be much lower than in the age-matched general population.
