In a retrospective study of 300 Caucasian and non-Caucasian patients with MPNs, researchers did not find a significant difference in the rate of thrombotic or hemorrhagic events between the two arms. However, there was a statistically significant difference in median survival: 29 years (95% CI: 21.8–not reached) in the Caucasian arm versus 13 years (95% CI: 5.7–22.7) in the non-Caucasian arm (p = .016).
