Last Updated: Monday, March 24, 2025

This study analyzed the immunonutritional status of Mexican GIST patients and found that a high Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI ≥ 36.5) is associated with better overall survival. Patients with higher PNI had a significantly reduced risk of death. The study concludes that PNI is a simple, reliable, and cost-effective tool for predicting prognosis in these patients.
