Male and female fertility: Prevention and monitoring Hodgkin’ lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma adult survivors. A systematic review by the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi

Data from a systematic review of patients with Hodgkin lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma show that gonadotoxicity is correlated with sex, type of treatment, and treatment dosage. Forty-five percent of female patients age 30 and older resumed menstrual regularity following treatment with escalated BEACOPP versus 82% of younger female patients receiving the same treatment (P <.001). Among male patients, 80% were at risk of severe spermatogenesis impairment after treatment.
