Association of the Geriatric 8 with treatment intensity and prognosis in older patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

A retrospective, multicenter analysis of patients age > 65 with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma confirmed that the Geriatric 8—an eight-question screening tool that helps identify elderly patients with cancer who would benefit from a comprehensive geriatric assessment—significantly predicts overall survival (HR 0.88; 95% CI 0.828-0.935).
