Although patients with CLL who contract SARS-CoV-2 are at greater risk for more severe COVID-19 and death than healthy individuals, researchers analyzed outcomes data for 128 patients with the BA.2 or BA.5 subvariant and found improved survival and decreased hospitalization rates compared with the BA.1 subvariant.
