Neurotoxicity of immunotherapy: Immune checkpoint inhibitor-related encephalitis vs. immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome

In a literature review, researchers discuss the diagnosis, management, and current research on immune checkpoint inhibitor–related encephalitis and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome. They conclude that although both neurologic syndromes share similar clinical presentations, their differences in pathogenesis necessitate distinct management approaches guided by onset timing and response profiles.
