Immune effector cell-associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis-like syndrome

An American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy panel proposed the term “immune effector cell-associated HLH-like syndrome (IEC-HS)” to describe hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH)–like toxicities emerging after CAR T-cell infusions. The panel proposed a framework and grading schema for identifying and assessing IEC-HS and highlighted potential treatment strategies to optimize supportive care.
